A woman died after she was found with no clothes in the back seat of a stolen car Thursday afternoon in the North Center neighborhood on the North Side, according to police.
Around 3:15 p.m., a person called 911 and said they found their stolen black Nissan Pathfinder in the 3200 block of North Damen Avenue, Chicago police dispatch records show.
The woman, 39, was found in the back seat still breathing when first responders arrived and was given CPR, according to police scanner traffic.
She was taken to the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she died, police said in a statement.
Police said the cause of death for the woman wasn’t immediately known. Detectives were conducting a death investigation.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has scheduled an autopsy.
