A woman is dead and three others are injured after a crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Uptown Sunday, Chicago police said.
Officers responded to a gray sedan with four passengers that had struck a pole in the 4400 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive around 1:45 a.m.
A woman, 32, in the passenger seat suffered head trauma and was transported to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to Chicago police. The male driver and two female passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Traffic citations are pending, and the Major Accidents Unit of the Chicago Police Department is investigating.
