A woman is facing attempted murder charges after she is alleged to have stabbed a man in Greater Grand Crossing earlier this month, according to Chicago police.
Briana Bush, 23, faces charges of first-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery through use of a deadly weapon, aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, police said.
On Jan. 5, a 24-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were fighting with Bush, who they did not know, when she pulled a sharp object and stabbed them with it around 10:55 p.m., in the first block of West 69th Street, police said.
Officers found the woman on a CTA platform with a puncture wound to the right chest and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, police said. The man was then found with a stab wound to the upper back and was taken to the same hospital in fair condition.
Bush is due in court Friday.
