Woman found dead in Arapahoe County house fire

A woman was found dead by firefighters responding to a house fire near Watkins on Monday morning, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

Fire crews responded to the 600 block of North Bersshine Street at 10:04 a.m., sheriff’s office spokesperson Ginger Delagdo said.

Firefighters found one woman dead in the home while fighting the fire, the sheriff’s office posted on X.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The woman’s name and cause of death will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
