A woman was killed and a man was wounded Thursday night in West Garfield Park on the West Side.
The 27-year-old woman and 26-year-old man, 27 were in the 3900 block of West Gladys Avenue around 10:45 p.m. when a male shooter approached on foot and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The woman was shot multiple times in the body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The man was also shot multiple times in the body and was taken to the same hospital where he was in fair condition, officials said.
No one was in custody.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
