A woman was shot and killed by assailants trying to rob her Saturday night in Bridgeport, police said.
About 8:40 p.m., the 31-year-old was in the 800 block of West 27th Street when the occupants of a black sedan tried to rob her and one of them fired shots, Chicago police said.
She suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
No one is in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
