Police responding to a call of shots fired found a woman dead late Wednesday in an Englewood alley.
Around 11:30 p.m., officers found her on the ground in the 7200 block of South Sangamon Street with gunshot wounds to his body, Chicago police said.
She was pronounced dead 12:07 a.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Her name has not been released.
No one was in custody.
Area 1 detectives are investigating.
