Area 3 detectives are looking for a knife-wielding attacker who fled after stabbing a woman taking out her garbage early Wednesday in West Ridge.
Around 1:20 a.m., the 65-year-old woman was taking out the garbage behind her home in the 6200 block of North Fairfield Avenue when someone dressed in all black wielded a sharp object and attacked her before fleeing, Chicago police said.
The woman suffered cuts to her head and left forearm and was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where she was in good condition, police said.
The attacker was not arrested.
Area 3 detectives are investigating.
