Woman’s body dumped on side of the road after ‘getting into car’ in Birmingham

Three men have been arrested after a woman was found dead, dumped on the side of the road in Birmingham.

Shara Miller, 41, is believed to have got into a car on a busy high street in Soho Road at 1am

But she was found suffering fatal injuries off Woodbourn Road in Smethwick just after 6.10am.

First responders said nothing could be done to save her and Shara was confirmed dead at the scene.

Her loved ones are being supported by specially trained officers, police said.

Three men, aged 29, 38 and 31, have now been arrested on suspicion of her murder.

They remain in custody for questioning.

Murder detectives believe Shara was killed in the early hours of the morning at the location where her body was discovered.

West Midlands Police are asking the public for any information on her movements before 1am.

DCI Alastair Orencas said: ‘We have made some significant progress in our investigation and now have three men in custody.

‘However, we still want to hear from anyone who saw Shara or spoke to her in the hours leading up to her death.

‘We understand she was involved in sex work around the Soho Road, Birmingham area and believe she may have been driven to Woodburn Road from that location.

‘If you have any footage or information, and haven’t yet come forward, please contact us.’

Officers are increasing patrols in the area where Shara was found and around Soho Road to reassure locals.
