The San Francisco 49ers extended their winning streak to four games with a 37-24 victory over the Tennessee Titans on December 14 at Levi’s Stadium. Niners quarterback Brock Purdy put together an outing that allowed the 49ers to keep themselves in the race for the NFC West title.
Purdy went 23-for-30 on his pass attempts while recording 295 passing yards and three touchdowns. Coming off the bye week, the 49ers quarterback took advantage of being fresh heading into this contest against the Titans.
After the San Francisco win, 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings spoke with the media over Purdy’s performance as the team heads into their final three games of the 2025 NFL season.
“Same Brock, man,” Jennings said (h/t 95.7 The Game). “Just being himself. Just Brock carrying the team each and every week. We love having Brock out there. This QB1, and we’re going to lay it on the line for him.”
49ers Teammate Doesn’t Hold Back on Brock Purdy
Moreover, Jennings isn’t the only 49er praising Purdy for his performance against the Titans, as offensive lineman Colton McKivitz shared his thoughts on the Niners’ signal-caller.
“We love having him as our QB and our leader,” McKivitz said (h/t 95.7 The Game). “If he’s having fun, it means the offense is having fun and the team is having fun. Keep dougie-ing and keep it rolling.”
Brock Purdy Sends Strong Message to Ricky Pearsall
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was another standout in this game. After managing just 14 receiving yards against the Cleveland Browns on November 30, before the 49ers’ bye week, Pearsall returned to form, reminiscent of his early-season play before his injury.
He hauled in six passes for 96 yards, delivering a strong bounce-back performance. Purdy noted that this type of showing from Pearsall should be expected, given the time they’ve spent building chemistry.
“He’ll never be a guy that’s going to go out of his way and complain, ‘I didn’t get targets, or the ball,’” Purdy said (h/t 95.7 The Game). “He’s about the team, and he understands that his moments and opportunities will come as we play. Today was just one of those days. We’ve all been itching to get him involved. Since he’s been back from his injury, and we know how dynamic he is as a receiver, I’m the first to tell him that.
“After, in the locker room, I’m like, ‘I want to get you the ball this week. I’m trying. Stick with me.’ Then he was always like, ‘Hey, I totally get your position, how the game goes.’ So he’s got my back. I got his back and to have a day like this was awesome. We just got to keep grinding together. When these days and ops come, you take advantage of.”
The 49ers have three games left on their schedule and remain in the race for the NFC West title. Nonetheless, they don’t control their own fate in that tight battle. San Francisco will need the Los Angeles Rams to stumble in their final three games to have a chance. Moreover, the Niners will need to take care of the Seattle Seahawks in their final regular-season game.
