Heading into Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season, the San Francisco 49ers are sporting a record of 9-4 while riding a three-game win streak heading into a matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
Even though the 49ers seem to be firing on all cylinders right now, the storied franchise is trying to compete in arguably the toughest division in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks have identical 10-3 records and appear to be in a two-team race for the NFC West crown, even though the 49ers are not far behind.
That said, the 49ers need to win as many games as possible in the final stretch of the regular season, starting with the two-win Titans on Sunday in the Bay Area at Levi’s Stadium.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey Injury Update

Heading into this matchup with the struggling Titans, there’s been some concern about the status of superstar running back Christian McCaffrey due to an illness.
However, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan put an end to any speculation of McCaffrey potentially missing Week 15’s game against the Titans, as he made it clear that his superstar running back was a “full go” on Friday.
McCaffrey has bounced back with a vengeance during the 2025 campaign after missing a considerable amount of time during the 2024 campaign. The veteran back is having another solid season, as he has racked up 1,655 yards from scrimmage to go along with 13 total touchdowns, which is impressive, to say the least.
At this point, McCaffrey is the focal point of the 49ers’ offense, as he hasn’t missed a beat and could be well on his way to making another Pro Bowl and potentially being named an All-Pro.
49ers Get Promising Update on Fred Warner

Despite having nine wins heading into Week 15, the 49ers have been ravaged by injuries to key players during the 2025 campaign, especially on the defensive side of the football, with Nick Bosa being lost for the season and Fred Warner on the mend, but potentially able to return this season.
49ers general manager John Lynch recently gave a promising update on Warner’s status
“Fred’s crushing it,” Lynch said. “He’s going to attack everything in his life with the same mentality, which is not waste a minute, focus on what he can control, and that’s working his tail off. I’ve told you all the lengths that Fred goes [through] to be the best he can possibly be. He’s not approaching this any different.”
It seems as though there’s a chance that Warner might be able to play again this season, even if it is during the NFL playoffs.
With only four regular-season games left on the schedule, it is uncertain if the four-time All-Pro linebacker will return before the postseason, as the team could use him to help clinch a playoff spot in the NFC.
If Warner can return before the playoffs, he’ll give the 49ers a significant boost on defense while potentially providing enough help for the team to make a deep run in the postseason.
