Tony Khan recently finalized the card for AEW’s 4th annual “Forbidden Door” event. While 13 matches are on the show, this one doesn’t feature nearly as many NJPW or CMLL talents.
Regardless, eight titles will be on the line. AEW and IWGP gold are up for grabs with two rings needed for a massive ten-man main event. For the first time in Forbidden Door history, the event emanates from The 02 Arena in London, England.
AEW Forbidden Door: Last Minute Additions
Zero Hour is slated to kick off at 11:30 a.m. ET, 4:30 p.m. BST. Infront of a sold-out crowd, Khan added four more matches to complete the card. Bryan Danielson made his Dynamite return on Wednesday as part of the commentary team. Once again, he’ll be a broadcaster for the Zero Hour event.

Danielson will joined by Renee Paquette, Jeff Jarrett, and RJ City to break down the action. A pair of trios matches and eight-person all-star tag team matches were made official after Collision last night.
The first of which sees Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong team up with NJPW’s El Desperado and Yuya Uemura to take on Action Andretti, Lio Rush, Hechicero, and Josh Alexander. Megan Bayne is set to team with the Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla) to take on their fierce rivals Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale.
The one and only Michael Oku will join JetSpeed in trios action against Ricochet and the Gates of Agony. Finally, The Opps put the Trios Titles on the line against NJPW’s Bullet Club War Dogs (Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney, and Robbie X).
AEW Forbidden Door: The Rest of the Card
One of the two Casino Gauntlet contracts is being cashed in at the event in London. Athena, the longest reigning ROH Champion of all time, will challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship. MJF will be challenging Adam Page for the World Title, though he doesn’t have to put his contract on the line.
MJF was able to sneakily change the stipulation to his bout with “Hangman”. Should the AEW Champion be counted out or disqualified, he will lose the championship. Two other title bouts have the ability to change hands without the champion being pinned.

FTR and BroDido’s time-limit draw saw both of them earn a Tag Title match. MVP’s Hurt Syndicate is in danger as they’re in another three-way match. Mercedes Mone finds herself in a four-way after she just won her ninth title around the world. She’ll face an AEW competitor (Alex Windsor) along with Stardom’s Bozilla and CMLL’s Persephone.
The lone NJPW championship on the line sees Zack Sabre Jr. give Nigel McGuinness a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Former multi-time Junior Heavyweight Champion, Hiromu Takahashi is set to challenge Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Championship.
Gabe Kidd’s involvement with the Death Riders has gotten him a main event match in AEW. It’ll be Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Kidd, and the Young Bucks teaming up against Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Will Ospreay in a lights out, two-ring steel cage main event.
