An angry woman bullied a dad into giving up a ball he gave to his son in shocking scenes at a Major League Baseball (MLB) game in the USA.

Harrison Bader hit a brilliant home run into the crowd during the Philadelphia Phillies’ victory over the Miami Marlins on Friday night.

But an ugly incident unfolded in the aftermath of Bader’s homer as a female Phillies fan couldn’t stand missing out on taking the ball home.

The ball landed in front of the woman – but she was too slow to react – with a man standing next to her able to reach down and grab it cleanly.

As the man walked back to his seat, the woman took a swipe at him and missed with the male Phillies fan giving the ball to his son.

The furious woman confronted the dad and he was pictured in a defensive stance with his hands at his face in the crowd at LoanDepot Park in Miami.

She was seen shouting at the male Phillies fan and pointing a finger in his face as the man tried to explain that he claimed the ball fair and square.

But with the woman refusing to back down, the man eventually gave in and took the ball away from his son to hand it to the female fan, who then walked off.

Announcers on the Marlins broadcast labelled the situation as ‘weird’ and suggested that the kid should be given another ball to take home with him.

That’s exactly what happened in the end as a different woman – working for the Marlins team – came over and handed the boy a special gift bag.

The bag contained a number of home run balls the team had in storage as well as a jersey and goodies.

The boy was told that the angry woman’s behaviour was ‘not okay’ and it later emerged that the kid was at the game to celebrate his birthday.

Having been made aware of the incident, the Phillies stepped and invited the boy, his dad and his family to meet baseball star Bader in the tunnel.

Bader gave the boy a signed bat and took pictures with him and members of his family.

The person who recorded the clip of the Marlins worker delivering the goodie bag revealed that the angry woman ‘said the ball landed in her seat [and that] it was hers’.

‘The dad of the year in question simply responded, ‘You have to catch it to be yours’ – to which a Karen-esque meltdown ensued,’ the witness added.

‘We booed [the angry woman] till her and her completely embarrassed significant other left.’

Phillies fans blasted the angry woman on social media with one user labelling her a ‘disgrace’ and another insisting the dad did nothing wrong.
