Antony has revealed that he rejected a late approach from Bayern Munich before completing his move from Manchester United to Real Betis.
The Brazilian winger was forced to wait until deadline day to complete his return to Betis as the Spanish club agreed a £21.65 million permanent deal with United.
Having struggled at Old Trafford following his £82m arrival from Ajax three years ago, Antony thrived during his loan spell in La Liga in the second half of last season.
In an emotional unveiling in Seville on Tuesday, Antony made it clear that his only intention was to re-join Betis this summer after his impressive loan stint.
And the 25-year-old claims his desire to return to Betis was so strong that he turned down an offer from Bayern in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

‘I spoke with Bayern, I don’t know if it [the salary offer] was €7 million, but I said I had Betis’ word and that it was 95 per cent closed and that I would respect my word,’ Antony told Cadena COPE.

‘I feel calm about making this decision because I am very happy here. More than five teams called me.’
Antony also revealed that his wife had already moved to Seville in anticipation of his move back to Betis.
‘What happened today will mark my life, it was very emotional, and I’ve never experienced anything like that before,’ Antony said.
‘My family is very happy, it’s very hard to be away from them, and it’s been very hard being alone in a hotel for more than 40 days.
‘My wife was in Seville waiting, so I told her my first choice was Betis.
‘Being a Betis player means a lot to me. I like everything here. It’s very similar to Brazil: the people, the weather, the food… I really like paella.’
