Here’s why we’ve made those selections..

  • Arsenal to Win: Arsenal have been saving their best performances for the Champions League, which bodes well against defending champions Real Madrid. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions and lead the UCL in lowest xG against per game (0.88). Meanwhile, Madrid have lost three of their last five matches, conceding 10 goals in that span.
  • Both Teams to Score – Yes: Real Madrid have been leaky at the back recently but are still a consistent threat going forward, having scored in each of their last 15 matches. That said, they’ve only managed more than one goal in one of their last five away games.
  • Bukayo Saka to Score: Saka is back and looks sharp. The 23-year-old has 10 goals in 26 appearances this season, including four in the Champions League — three of which came at the Emirates.
  • Vinicius Jr to be Carded: The Brazilian has committed 16 fouls in this season’s Champions League, making him the fourth most frequent offender in the competition. He’s also picked up 11 cards in 66 UCL appearances — four of them this season, including one in the previous round against Atletico Madrid.
