Arsenal return to north London on Wednesday as their pre-season preparations continue against Spanish side Villarreal.

The Gunners have been on tour in Asia but are back on home soil for the final two friendlies before the Premier League season gets underway.

While results are not crucial in pre-season, defeat to Tottenham last time out will have irked and Mikel Arteta will be keen to pick up a couple of wins before the campaign begins.

A trip to Old Trafford is the first task of the new Premier League season, with Arsenal going to Manchester United on Sunday August 17.

The final two friendlies of the summer are against the sides that finished fifth and fourth in La Liga last season.
