After an impressive season with Aston Villa there is heavyweight interest in Morgan Rogers from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea this summer.

The 22-year-old continued to cement his place as one of the most promising young talents in the country as he starred for Villa in the Premier League and Champions League.

His performances were also recognised on the international stage as he won his first four England caps and has become a contender to make it into Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad next summer.

Across all competitions he made 54 appearances for Villa over the last campaign, scoring 14 goals.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both admirers of the former Manchester City player but Villa have little interest in selling one of their key men.

The Daily Mail report that the Villains have ‘no plans to cash in on’ Rogers this summer, although their financial position is precarious.

Villa remain in a dangerous position in terms of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and will look to sell players this summer.

Missing out on the Champions League on the final day of last season was a big blow for the club and sales are necessary this summer.

Leon Bailey and Jacob Ramsey have been touted as players who are available for sale, with the latter coming with a £40m price tag.

Villa do not want to sell homegrown star Ramsey, but he would represent pure profit on PSR and interest from Spurs could be cashed in on.

Iconic goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has also been linked with a move, with Manchester United thought to be interested in the World Cup winning stopper.

Striker Ollie Watkins also remains of interest to Arsenal after they saw a January bid turned down for the England international.

However, he is not top of their shopping list, with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres attracting more attention.

Ramsey, though, is not expected to depart, with the BBC describing him as ‘untouchable’ in the current transfer window.

Ex-England and Aston Villa forward Emile Heskey has warned Ramsey over the possibility of a move to a bigger club, saying he could be lost in the shuffle elsewhere.

‘I think he needs to be really careful,’ ex-Aston Villa striker Heskey told Prime Casino. ‘He’s a huge asset for Villa and right now he’s a fantastic player.

‘But he’s got to choose wisely. If I was him, I would stay at Villa, establish myself and play more football. Because if you go to a theoretically bigger club and you don’t play football, you’re wasting your talent.

‘He’s got to play. I love the way that he plays. He plays with enthusiasm, he plays with freedom and he’s a very good player.

‘So I would suggest he stays at Aston Villa for another season at least.’
