Austin Reaves Set to Release New Signature Shoe Ahead of NBA Season

Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves is set to release the third installment of his signature shoe through KICKS CREW ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season.

After signing a signature deal with Rigorer in 2023, Reaves and Rigorer have continued to find success with the AR1, AR2, and the AR Battle 2, a budget model.

Now, ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season, where LA’s big three of Reaves, Luka Doncic, and LeBron James will look to make waves in a stacked Western Conference, Rigorer, Reaves, and KICKS CREW have dropped details regarding his third signature shoe, which will be releasing in two all-new colorways.

Austin Reaves Talks AR3 With Rigorer & KICKS CREW

Ahead of the release of the AR3, which will coincide with the start of LA’s preseason later this week, Austin Reaves spoke with KICKS CREW about the release of the AR3, and the season ahead.

“I couldn’t be more excited to share the AR3 with the world. Every detail of this shoe reflects my growth as a player and the journey we’ve been on since the AR1. The AR3 is about entering a new era, one where I want to continue proving myself, inspiring the next generation, and bringing my fans along with me every step of the way.”

Across past releases, Reaves and Rigorer have continued to pay tribute to his roots with releases like the ‘Hillbilly Bogey’ colorway of his AR1, and the original AR2 ‘Fusion’ colorway, which touched on his growth since entering the league with a special message printed on the inside of the box.

With the AR3, Reaves and Rigorer paid tribute to Los Angeles with wing-shaped designs on the upper of both the Apollo and the Hitman colorways being released on Saturday.

Additionally, the shoes come packed with all of the best Rigorer tech such as a triple-peak TPU system designed to enhance stability, and a TPU anti-twist plate to maximize stability.

Reaves Talks Long-Term Extension With Lakers

Heading into the 2025-26 NBA season, Austin Reaves is betting on himself.

This offseason, the team offered him a four-year extension worth a reported $90 million, however, Reaves turned it down.

According to reports, the expectation around the league is that he will command a contract worth $30-35 million per year when hitting free agency next summer.

While speaking with The Athletic, Reaves spoke about turning down the contract, saying:

“I want to be in L.A. I want to continue to play Virginia Country Club on off days. It’s not like we’re trying to just whack ’em over the head for more money than what I deserve. We just want to get what we feel like I’ve put the work in to get.”

Reaves will now have a chance to firmly cement himself as Luka Doncic’s backcourt partner  as both players head into the prime of their careers.
