As soon as the ball left his hand, Caleb Williams knew that the Chicago Bears had completed their impressive comeback against the Green Bay Packers.
The quarterback sent a 46-yard touchdown pass to DJ Moore in overtime, and the receiver made an impressive grab, which secured the victory.
“I knew it was good,” Williams told reporters. “You’ve got that belief. You’ve got that confidence. You’ve got that swagger as an offense. You’ve practiced well. You’ve hit plays like that in practice. It was pretty identical to practice. When the play gets called and the moment comes up like that, it’s time to go hit it. It’s time to go win the game.”
Ben Johnson also took a moment to praise his quarterback after the game.
“He came through and he always makes plays when needed,” Johnson said. “He’s clutch like that. We’ll go back. We’ll look at anything that we could have done better over the course of the game, but I thought he always keeps a level head. He understands the situation so, so well. We’re down by two scores and, hey, we got to score as fast as we can here, got it. He’s all over it trying to work as quickly as we can and I think he gets better every single week, Jason. I think that’s something we keep talking about. I really do think he is playing some of his best football right now of the year.”
Williams finished the game going 18-of-24 for 250 passing yards and two passing touchdowns, along with three carries for 30 yards.
Chicago Bears Clinch Playoff Spot

While the Bears had an impressive win over the Packers, it wasn’t enough to clinch a playoff berth. They needed a little extra help…
And they got it.
The Detroit Lions’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers allowed Chicago to secure a spot in the postseason officially. And with that, they also have a game-and-a-half division lead over Green Bay with two games left. The Bears can secure the NFC North title with a win over the San Francisco 49ers or the Detroit Lions, or with at least one Packers loss.
The Bears also do have a shot at the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but to get that, they would need to win out and have the Seattle Seahawks lose one of their final two games against the Carolina Panthers or 49ers.
Here are the current NFC Standings:Â
- x – Seattle Seahawks (12-3)
- x – Chicago Bears (11-4)
- z – Philadelphia Eagles (10-5)
- Carolina Panthers (8-7)
- x – Los Angeles Rams (11-4)
- x – San Francisco 49ers
- Green Bay Packers (9-5-1)
DJ Moore Celebrates Win Over Packers In The Locker Room
In the locker room after the game, Ben Johnson handed out for game balls to the plays in celebration of their hard-fought win. And the last one went to Moore for his catch in overtime.
âAll right, last one here, man. Last one. And Caleb, I love you. I love you, all right? But this oneâs not going to you. Cause this guy battled through, man. He went down early. He got back up. He knew this team needed him for 60 minutes. DJ Moore,â Johnson said.
As he came up to get it and make his speech, Moore was seen wearing a cheese grater, trolling the Packers.
But that wasn’t all, he also gave an interesting interview with FOX after the game, as it was clear emotions were running high.
“At the end of the day, it’s (expletive) the Packers, always,” Moore said with a smile.
Then, the following day, Williams was spotted wearing a cheese grater hat while passing out meals in Chicago.
