Bears’ Caleb Williams Reacts to Micah Parsons’ Injury for Packers

Even Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is hoping for good news for Micah Parsons after the Green Bay Packers‘ superstar pass rusher went down with a potentially major knee injury in Week 15’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

Parsons collapsed with a non-contact injury in his left knee in the final minute of the third quarter against the Broncos in Week 15 and did not return for the rest of the loss, raising instant league-wide concern for one of the NFL’s most talented pass rushers.

Worse still, the CBS broadcast showed Parsons clutching his knee while team trainers started to work on him and caught him mouthing to the Packers’ sideline, “I’m out.”

While Williams didn’t issue comments of his own, he did repost a sincere comment from a Chicago Bears fan account that read: “Micah Parsons injured. Prayers up.”

Unfortunately for Parsons, there was no good news in the aftermath of the 34-26 loss.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the belief is that Parsons tore his ACL in the loss to the Broncos, which would not only take him out for the rest of the season but may impact his availability for the start of the 2026 season, depending on his recovery.

The team will have Parsons undergo further testing to confirm his diagnosis, but head coach Matt LaFleur grimly said in the postgame that his knee injury “didn’t look good.”

The Bears (10-4) — who are back in first place in the division — will host the Packers (9-4-1) for a rematch at Soldier Field at 8:20 p.m. ET next Saturday, December 20.

Micah Parsons Got After Caleb Williams in Week 14

Williams and the Bears won’t be celebrating if doctors confirm that Parsons will miss the rest of the 2025 season with his ACL injury, but they may take a collective sigh of relief that one of the Defensive Player of the Year candidates won’t be chasing them around the field next Saturday night when they battle the Packers for the division.

Parsons only recorded a single tackle against the Bears in Week 14’s win and was not able to bring Williams down for a sack, but he also generated seven pressures and six quarterback hurries and tipped a third-down pass that made his presence known.

The matchup inspired a little rivalry between Parsons and Williams, who shared a laugh on the field early in the game as Parsons promised to run down the Bears’ quarterback.

“I’m not gonna lie, [it was] mad annoying, mad annoying,” Parsons told NFL Network in Week 14’s postgame when asked what it was like chasing Williams around the field. “When someone’s just running boot and running all game, it’s no fun for rushers, but I’m not gonna lie: I’m going to get him.”

Parsons’ promise to sack Williams will have to wait until 2026 now, though.
