The Chicago Bears are coming up on their first season with new head coach Ben Johnson, who hails from the Detroit Lions. Johnson is known as one of the best offensive-minded coaches in the league, so there are plenty of eyes on him as the 2025-26 season nears.
But, of course, Johnson isn’t the only coach on the Bears’ side. The team has a bevy of assistant who will help shape this teams into what’s hopefully something great this season. These assistants will be working with everyone from quarterback Caleb Williams to linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and a day-to-day basis.
The Chicago Bears, as it turns out, have one of the only female coaches in the NFL. She joined the Bears for their 2024-25 season and is staying with the team under Johnson.
The Chicago Bears Have a Second-Year Female Coach
The female coach working with the Chicago Bears is Allison Haley, who is the team’s assistant strength and conditioning coach. Her hometown is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and she attended college at Commonwealth. She one of only a handful of female coaches in the NFL for the 2025-26 season.

“Allison Haley enters her second year with the Bears in 2025, her first as an assistant strength and conditioning coach,” the Chicago Bears state of her on their official website.
According to the Bears, Haley spent 2024 with the Bears in the role of a “seasonal strength and conditioning aiding the full-time staff.” The site adds that “Haley focused on the return to sport group, players recovering from serious injuries, as well as running warm ups and mobility circuits.” In addition to traditional weight room duties, Haley also worked with the teams’ sports science staff to “apply data technologies to the strength program,” the Bears explain.
Before being a staffer for Chicago, Haley spent a year working as a strength and conditioning coach for Villanova University football. Her first professional job in sports training was as an exercise physiologist at Zarett Rehab and Fitness. She also holds a degree in Exercise Science from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg.
So, if you see Haley on the field at games, make sure to wave at her and thank her for being one of the few women in the NFL.
Caleb Williams of the Chicago Bears Talks Training Camp
The Bears didn’t exactly say that Haley is working with Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams, but it’s a given that Johnson is working with him. It’s really up to Johnson to get Williams to the next level and help Chicago have a much stronger season than they’ve had lately.
On Tuesday, August 5, the NFL Network spoke with Williams, and he discussed how it’s been a challenge to get used to Johnson’s offense in training camp. But, it’s a good challenge.
“It’s been a lot,” Williams said. “As it should be. It’s training camp. You know, we’re going to test limits… [Johnson]’s been adding more and more throughout time. It’s been fun. It’s been good. It’s been challenging. It’s been frustrating when you don’t get it, but that’s what practice is for.”
As long as Williams is willing to put in the hard work, there will really be no stopping him and the Bears. Hopefully, Williams, Johnson, Haley and the rest of the Bears crew will be in a very good place when the season kicks off.
