The bad news keeps pouring in for the Chicago Bears. After the news on Friday morning that Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to suit up on Sunday after missing the last few games with a hamstring injury, the Bears released Friday’s injury report with several key starters out for the upcoming matchup.
Bears’ Injury Report Shows Bad News for Ravens Matchup

GettyKyler Gordon #6 of the Chicago Bears and Tyrique Stevenson #29 of the Chicago Bears are both out for Sunday’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Just when the Bears had Kyler Gordon return to action after missing the first four games of the season, he played just two games. He was dealing with a hamstring injury at the start of the season, and now he’s out due to a groin/calf injury. Brutal news for one of the Bears’ top playmakers on defense.
To add on to Gordon’s situation, the Bears’ cornerback room has the injury bug, with Tyrique Stevenson set to miss his first game of the season with a shoulder injury. The Bears are already down Jaylon Johnson and Terell Smith with season-ending injuries, and now with Gordon and Stevenson out, the Bears’ secondary becomes a huge weak point that Jackson can attack on Sunday.
For all the people who keep comparing Tyler Warren and now Los Angeles Chargers’ rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden II to Colston Loveland, now’s the time for Loveland to have a breakout game, with Cole Kmet set to miss his first game of the season with a back injury.
Bears head coach Ben Johnson spoke to the media and made it clear that he believes Loveland is doing a good job, despite not having the numbers most fans want to see.
“I’m pleased with how Colston Loveland is playing, and I know the production, call it six games into it, isn’t what any of us maybe had looked for from a numbers perspective, but he’s impacting games in a very positive fashion, and he’s a reason why our offense is going to continue to get better.”
Other Bears’ Injury News
Those are not the only injuries the Bears are dealing with. Running back Roschon Johnson is out with a back issue, and offensive tackle Braxton Jones is out with a knee injury.
Four players are questionable: D’Andre Swift (groin), Austin Booker (knee), Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee), and Cairo Santos (right thigh).
The one to keep an eye on is Booker. He’s yet to play a snap this season and could finally see his first action on Sunday. Swift should be able to play, and who knows, maybe the Bears ride with Jake Moody the rest of the season, even if Santos is fully healthy.
It’s going to be a tough matchup on Sunday, especially because Jackson should be back for the Ravens, but the recent injury news for the Bears doesn’t help.
