The New York Jets are one of the last three teams in the NFL still searching for their first win. Today they host the Dallas Cowboys in MetLife Stadium in a chance to reroute their season after a disastrous first month.
The Cowboys hope to do some course correcting of their own, as they escaped the first month of the season with the eighth-worst passing defense of all time.
All things considered, we have our eyes on a couple player props in what is considered a must win for both squads.
Justin Fields o187.5 Passing Yards (-112 FD)
I love this spot for Justin Fields today. The Jets have embraced their running identity all season, and it has paid off to the tune of 0-4. At some point you have to be willing to sling the rock, why not start against a historically bad defense.
Remember, this is a secondary that allowed 350 yards to Jordan Love last week, 250 yards to Caleb Williams two weeks ago, and 450 yards to Russell Wilson (in the same stadium) the week before that.
I already have a Justin Fields ladder play all the way up to 300 yards (+1100 by the way), I think he breezes by this number. Should they be getting consistently scored on by this explosive Cowboys offense, this could be Fields’ coming out party in his new city.
Garrett Wilson o5.5 Receptions (-134 FD)
This Jets receiving room is depleted. They have been uninspiring and unimpressive. I think this line is going to continue to climb over the season, just as the Justin Fields anytime touchdown line has.
He has more receptions than every other wide receiver on the roster combined. He has only gone under this number once in the opening four games, and that was the game that Fields went down with a concussion.
This gets home several different ways, I think it is ladder-able. Adding one catch brings the odds to +134, adding two makes it +230.
Breece Hall Anytime Touchdown (-115)
Another Cowboys defense fade. They have allowed 40, 37, 24, and 31. So I’m not going to over think this one, Breece Hall has only scored once on the season but the player that was scavenging many of his goal line carries is out for the season.
The Jets have to get comfortable with using Breece down near the end zone and I think it starts today. This will be the last time this line is around even money and I won’t miss out on it.
Same Game Parlay +741 Odds
I’m backing both offenses in a game that seems primed to have one of the highest totals from Week 5. Heres out +741 same game parlay for Dallas New York.
Justin Fields o187.5 Passing Yards
Garrett Wilson o5.5 Receptions
Jake Ferguson 5+ Alt Receptions
Isaiah Davis 10+ Alt Rushing Yards
Breece Hall Anytime Touchdown Scorer
