Bills-Eagles Trade Scenario Would Send A.J. Brown to Buffalo

The Buffalo Bills experienced their first loss of the season on Sunday, losing to the New England Patriots 23-20.

Although the Bills lost, they remain one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl; however, they need to acquire a few more players.

Could A.J. Brown Head To Buffalo

One position Buffalo needs is another receiver, and Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay thinks the team should trade for Philadelphia Eagles receiver A.J. Brown.

Kay pitched a trade idea that would send Brown to the Bills for a 2026 second-round draft pick and a 2027 conditional third-round draft pick.

“The Buffalo Bills make for an intriguing landing spot,” Kay wrote Tuesday. “They boast the same 4-1 record as Philadelphia and have an MVP quarterback in Josh Allen leading their offense, but the team still lacks a true No. 1 wideout who can take the passing game to another level.

“If the Bills are willing to kick over an early Day 2 pick and a conditional 2027 pick to sweeten the pot, it may just be enough to get the Eagles to consider moving on from the pass-catcher.”

Brown has faced frustration this season due to his limited role in the Eagles‘ offense. The 28-year-old receiver has managed to catch just 19 passes for 194 yards and one touchdown over the course of five games.

However, Brown ranks among the NFL’s best receivers when the offense features him. He has made three Pro Bowls and helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl last season.

If the Eagles and Brown decide it would be better off parting ways, then Buffalo needs to be on the phone to try to trade for him.

The Bills Are Dealing With Some Critical Issues

The Bills are a superstar receiver away from probably winning the Super Bowl. Buffalo is currently facing issues with some of their own players, including Keon Coleman.

According to ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg, Coleman was benched for the first offensive drive on Sunday for disciplinary reasons, per head coach Sean McDermott.

The Bills will need Coleman to perform at his absolute best on and off the field if they want to win a Super Bowl, and sitting out an essential game for discipline reasons doesn’t reflect well on him.

Coleman had a rollercoaster game on Sunday, recording four receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown, but fumbling the football, which set up the Patriots to score three points.

The second-year receiver wasn’t the only person to turn the ball over, with quarterback Josh Allen fumbling and throwing an interception.

Allen wasn’t happy with the team’s performance and called it sloppy.

“We just played sloppy, Allen said on Sunday. “Not going to win a football game turning the ball over three times in our red zone. Gave them one in their red zone. That’s just bad football, and we just did not play good tonight.”

The Bills will need to clean up their mistakes if they want to win the Super Bowl this season, and perhaps trading for Brown will help them handle the ball more effectively.
