Bills OT Hilarious Comments About Browns’ Garrett Breaking Sack Record

Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Spencer Brown is hopeful that Cleveland Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett doesn’t break the sack record against him.

Garrett has 21.5 sacks this year, just one short of the all-time record of 22.5 set by Michael Strahan. There’s a good chance he at least ties the record on Sunday when he faces Josh Allen and the Bills.

Garrett will be going up against Brown, who said that if he allows the sack will laugh it off and show his kids him getting blasted by the star pass rusher.

“I think the win will erase if he gets the record,” Brown said. “I mean, the record might sting a little bit. If it does happen on me, I guess it’d be like, yeah, kids that’s me right there getting absolutely blasted. Hopefully it doesn’t happen but the win is the main focus.”

Brown knows he will have his hands full against Garrett on Sunday. He knows how strong and powerful the Browns’ pass rusher is.

“(Garrett is) just so strong and powerful and I think he just breathes oxygen and he gets more yoked, which I’m jealous of. I actually have to work out,” Brown added. “… So it’s not something you can really plan for, you just gotta read and react and hopefully you do it quick enough. I look forward to (the challenge).”

Garrett has eight straight games with at least one sack.

Garrett is Hopeful to Break Sack Record in a Win

With Garrett being just one sack away from tying the record, there’s a chance he ties and then breaks the record on Sunday.

However, Garrett said he would prefer to break the record in a Browns win. He said it would add to the record if he helped Cleveland win the game.

“Yeah, I want to get in front of the home fans,” he said. “Most of all, I want to get the win. You know, I don’t want it to be some emotional conflict between me getting it and we’re getting our tails whooped. Or, we’re down at the end of the game. So, I want to be able to share a joyous moment for everybody.”

Garrett has recorded 57 tackles, 21.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles this season.

Garrett Sends Message to Browns Fans

Although Cleveland’s season hasn’t gone as expected, Garrett is still hopeful to end the year on a high note.

Garrett sent a message to Browns fans that he’s happy to be there and will continue to play hard for the city.

“I am here. I’m happy to be here,” Garrett said. “I’m happy to play in front of these fans who’ve supported me through everything, the seasons up and down. And just all the things that have gone on with my career and the Browns team in general for my last nine years, for them to still turn out and still support me and still want to be a part of this ride in general is special to me, and I’m hoping they still turn out and have energy and love for us as they always do.”

Cleveland is a 10.5-point underdog at home against the Bills on Sunday.
