The Buffalo Bills are one of just a handful of teams remaining in the NFL this season with a 4-0 record after their definitive win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 4, 31-19. Sure, everyone thought the Bills would take this one, but one can’t take any wins for granted, and the team absolutely rolled over the Saints.
Sadly, the Saints are now 0-4, and that’s never a fun place to be, but the Bills had to do what the Bills had to do. Now, Buffalo is coming up on a matchup against the New England Patriots on Sunday evening, and they’re looking to put on a show.
One of the biggest assets for the Buffalo Bills, obviously, is having MVP-winning quarterback Josh Allen. Now, Allen is in the news, but it’s not for his football playing. The talented athlete is partnering with a familiar brand to make sure people get their grub on while watching football in October.
Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills Teams Up With a Familiar Name
Allen is teaming up with Pizza Hut in honor of National Pizza Month, which is October. Who knew October was National Pizza Month, right?
“Announced today, Pizza Hut is going big this National Pizza Month, putting a spotlight on one of its best mealtime values returning to its menu: the Big Dinner Box,” Pizza Hut said in a statement. “To celebrate its return, Pizza Hut teamed up with pro quarterback Josh Allen and Pepsi on its new campaign.”
According to a release, the Big Dinner Box is available now at participating restaurants nationwide. The bundle comes with two medium one-topping pizzas, five breadsticks and eight boneless wings starting at $19.99. Allen also takes part in the restaurant’s ad campaigns for the pizza, which is a fun touch.
Looking Ahead for the Buffalo Bills
In other Bills news, those in Buffalo should be totally pumped to hear that the team has moved up to No. 2 in the NFL’s power rankings before Week 5. They totally deserve it. The only team ahead of them is the Eagles.
Another week, another game that required more effort from the Bills than I anticipated they’d need to win,” Eric Edholm of the NFL’s site says in a Tuesday, September 30 feature. “Buffalo might have been well-rested following the mini-bye, but the team looked more sloppy than anything else in a 31-19 victory over winless New Orleans.”
He adds that the New Orleans Saints “easily could have taken a fourth-quarter lead in a contest where the Bills committed a season-high 11 penalties and converted just three of their 10 third-down attempts. Defensively, Buffalo had way too many missed tackles (and sacks).”
Of course, it was Allen to the rescue, as well as James Cook. Both of those players shined. “With upcoming games against New England and Atlanta, Buffalo has a chance to be 6-0 heading into the bye, but there is still a decent amount to clean up before we start counting those Ws.”
It’s great that Allen and the Bills didn’t let any craziness like the tie between the Packers and Cowboys happen on Sunday.
