The Buffalo Bills are on top of the world right now, and they’re one of the few teams left standing in the NFL with a 3-0 record. It’s early in the season, but already, most favorites have already suffered one loss, if not two, and yes, we’re talking about you, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
But, not the Bills. MVP-winning quarterback Josh Allen and the crew have overcome the odds and won every game in the season so far. They’ve done with with the help of a great coaching staff and, of course, the fantastic Buffalo Bills fanbase.
Come next season, the Buffalo Bills have already announced that they’ll be playing in the new Highmark Stadium, and it’s going to be a huge change for the team and its followers. But, it’s a good change, and the new stadium will have a bunch of new amenities for people going to the games, as well as one major benefit for the Buffalo Bills players.
Josh Allen Talks New Buffalo Bills Playing Field
Allen, for one, is thrilled about the new Highmark Stadium. For him, the most important part of this project is the playing surface, and we’re sure most of the players on the field would agree.
For a few years now, the NFL Players Association has said that teams should switch to natural fields, for the safety of their players. For the 2025-26 season, 17 of 32 teams play their home games on some variety of artificial turf. Next year, the Bills will be one of those teams.
“We’re grass, brother,” the star quarterback said when talking about the new stadium’s field surface on The Pat McAfee Show. “We were told about it. We like grass.”
Allen added that he has “some turf burns on my legs that make me really like grass.”
So, Allen is among the many players in the NFL who will be happy to be playing on real grass. It’ll likely keep the team healthier, too, which is what’s most important.
Josh Allen Teammate Puts Crazy Story to Rest
Earlier this week, MLFootball took to X to share that Allen was a “class act” and “took the entire team on a trip to Costa Rica for two days, according to Damar Hamlin. Allen paid for the entire trip and reportedly cost at least a couple hundred thousand dollars. Josh Allen is a class act. This is special.”
Other NFL insiders seemed to confirm the news, too, with NFL insider Dov Kleiman saying on X, “Role Model: Bills star QB Josh Allen took the entire team on a trip to Costa Rica for two days this offseason. He even paid for the entire trip, including flights and food, which cost well over $100,000. Josh is the definition of a class act.”
But, it didn’t happen. Speaking on “Up & Adams,” wide receiver Khalil Shakir put an end to this crazy story. “Josh did not take 53 men for $100k,” he said, “which, by the way, is like, I don’t know where you guys were staying, in tent somewhere, for 100k for 53 men. That did not happen.” So, don’t believe everything that you hear, even if it’s good news.
