Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills have already secured their spot in the postseason, which may seem like a given to some, but all you have to do is look at the Kansas City Chiefs to see that nothing is a given in the NFL. So, it’s an exciting time for the Bills, and this may finally be the year the franchise scores their first-ever championship.
The team’s latest game was a 23-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, December 21 and now, they’re coming up on a big showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, December 28, at home. The Bills have an 11-4 record going into the game and are No. 2 in the AFC East, only behind the New England Patriots by one game.
It’s crunch time, and players are focused on the postseason. But, Allen is also reflective about this season, because it marks the end of an era for the Buffalo Bills. After this season, a lot is going to change, and Allen opened up about that speaking to reporters this week.
Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen Talks Change
All season, the Buffalo Bills have been playing their final home games inside Highmark Stadium. Before the team’s Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Allen talked about playing in one of the final games at the venue. Allen also opened up about what he’s excited about for the new stadium.
“Obviously, a lot of love, a lot of energy, you can feel it in there when you play,” Allen said. “Excited for obviously the new stadium and hopefully the no wind in there, that’ll be really fun.”
Allen added, “Going to enjoy these last two here and know that it’s a pretty fun time for our fans and ourselves to be in the stadium.”
Allen and the Bills have two more games remaining on the schedule at home, counting the Eagles on Sunday and Jets in Week 18. From there, it will be time for the team to start a new chapter in a fresh home.
