The Buffalo Bills kicked off their 2025-26 season with a fantastic comeback win during their opening game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 7. Of course, at the head of that victory was Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who led the team to a rousing victory at the very end of the game.
Allen has been popular for years, and now, he’s the league’s Most Valuable Player. This week, he was also named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. So, it’s been a good week for him, but that’s not all.
With Allen’s popularity, it makes sense that his merchandise is among the hottest-selling in the country. Now, the NFLPA has released its year-end top 50 player sales list, which reports on sales from March 1 through July 31, 2025. The timetable reports on the time between seasons, when it’s likely that whichever team won the championship will have the hottest gear available. So, how well did Allen’s merch sell during this period?
Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen Has a New Reason to Brag
The NFLPA’s annual tally is the sole verified ranking of all officially licensed, NFL player-branded merchandise sold via online and traditional retail outlets, and it’s reported by more than 85 NFLPA licensees, including Fanatics, Outerstuff, Fathead, FOCO and Funko. It’s all official merch and totally licensed.
An example of some of the licensed items and product categories included trading cards, men’s, women’s, and youth game jerseys, T-shirts and hoodies, backpacks, wall decals, pennants, collectible figurines, matted and framed photos, bobbleheads, plush, drinkware and pet products. So, it’s a wide range of gear and items.
Allen was ranked No. 4 on the tally, which is very good. But, what’s interesting is that Shedeur Sanders actually ranked higher than him, at No. 5. He hasn’t even played a game yet.
Eagles All-Pro and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley ranked No. 1. According to Sportico, Barkley is the first running back to snag that No. 1 showing since former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot in 2017. As for the rest of the tally, Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts was No. 2, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was No. 3, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was No. 5.
Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen Gets Honors
In other news, the NFL has released their roster of the best players in the league going into the 2025-26 season, and Allen easily made the top 10. Michael Baca of the NFL’s website has released his top 10 players in the league, and he puts Allen at No. 3.
“Allen has compiled eye-popping numbers in past seasons, but a more calculated version of the Bills’ star quarterback resulted in his highest standing in the Top 100,” he states in the piece. In a campaign where Buffalo relied on the now-29-year-old more than ever — the Bills offense featured just two Pro Bowlers in 2024 (Allen, Dion Dawkins) — Allen came through big with 41 total touchdowns (28 passing, 12 rushing, one receiving).”
He adds, “Allen’s tremendous growth in Year 7 and the story he authored in Buffalo resulted in him being awarded 2024 most valuable player honors despite numbers that would suggest an average season. It was anything but.”
Following the Bills’ triumphant comeback victory against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, they’re showing the world who’s boss this time around.
