Bills Urged To Trade For Cowboys 4-Time Pro Bowler

The Buffalo Bills roster is almost complete heading into the regular season. But it doesn’t mean the team can’t upgrade a position if there is a player to go after.

On Friday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons asked to be traded. The four-time Pro Bowler is unhappy about the Cowboys not offering him the contract he wants. With Parsons entering the last year of his deal, he knows he can’t play without a long-term extension.

Cowboys Pass Rusher Micah Parsons Could Be Traded

It wouldn’t be wise for Parsons to take the field without any long-term contract that could pay him if he were to suffer any injury. The Cowboys are known for taking contract talks down to the wire. Last year, Dallas didn’t extend wide receiver CeeDee Lamb until August. Lamb was in the same position as Parsons entering the final year of his deal, and the Cowboys caved to his contract demands.

Lamb wasn’t the only player who didn’t get a new contract until late in the offseason. A few days before the Cowboys’ Week 1 game against the Cleveland Browns, the team extended quarterback Dak Prescott. The 32-year-old quarterback was set to become a free agent this past offseason, but the Cowboys knew they couldn’t let him walk.

Dallas will likely give Parsons the contract he wants, but currently, teams will be looking to trade for him. One team that should be looking to trade for Parsons is the Bills.

Bills Urged To Trade For Parsons

If the Bills get an elite pass rusher, it could help them get past the Kansas City Chiefs. Liam Rebellato from Last Word On Sports thinks the Bills could be players for Parsons.

“The Bills are on the doorstep of a Super Bowl and can easily view Parsons as the missing piece to put them over the top. Buffalo currently has Gregory Rousseau, who is progressively getting better, and Joey Bosa. Bosa, while talented, is injury-prone and has struggled to stay on the field throughout his career,” Rebellato wrote. “Parsons is a clear and significant upgrade over both. Parsons brings elite speed off the edge and game-breaking ability. His presence would elevate Buffalo’s defense into one of the league’s most dangerous units. Buffalo will seem like a long shot in the Micah Parsons potential trade destinations due to a lack of cap space. But for a team that’s looking to win the Super Bowl now, figuring out a way to acquire Parsons would put the Bills over the top.”

Buffalo will be talking to the Cowboys, but this could be a repeat of the situation with Myles Garrett. Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett requested to be traded in February, and a month later got a new long-term contract.

Cleveland never made Garrett available for a trade, which will likely be the same way with Parsons.

Dallas only has a few more weeks until the regular season, and they’d better get a deal done with Parsons before the season starts.
