The Atlanta Braves are having themselves a quality offseason thus far. Atlanta has made two meaningful free-agent signings in Robert Suarez and Mike Yastrzemski. They are also bringing back Raisel Iglesias on a $16 million deal. Braves’ GM Alex Anthopoulos is proving to Braves fans across MLB that he is willing to open up the checkbook and make big splashes.
Another top need for the Braves is an infielder, specifically a shortstop, if they do not retain Ha-Seong Kim. The shortstop is rather thin this free agency, except for Bo Bichette. A recent report suggests that the Braves may be a top suitor for Bichette if the Toronto Blue Jays allocate their funds elsewhere.

MLB Insider Links Bo Bichette to the Braves
It would send shockwaves across the National League if Bo Bichette landed with the Atlanta Braves. That would give Atlanta one of the best infields in baseball and also solidify their lineup as one of the best in the NL.
It’s become apparent that Atlanta understands the assignment that they have to be aggressive this offseason, and it’s already translated to early signings.
In a recent segment on MLB Network, insider Jon Morosi suggests that the Braves could be a top landing spot for Bo Bichette if the Blue Jays empty out their pockets for Kyle Tucker. It doesn’t seem feasible that Toronto can afford both superstars, especially because they are both predicted to land $200 million+ deals.

For Morosi’s manifestation to happen, Braves fans will have to hope that the Blue Jays sign Kyle Tucker before making a decision on Bichette, which would allow the Braves to enter a bidding war with other Bichette suitors.

Bo Bichette Is One of the Top Infielders Available
Bo Bichette is one of the top infielders available on the market at this point. He is a two-time All-Star with a career wRC+ of 121.
He completely saved his market value in 2025 after a down 2024 season. Over 139 games this season, Bichette hit .311, with 181 hits, 44 doubles, and 94 runs batted in.
Bichette has spent all seven of his MLB careers with the Blue Jays. There is some speculation that whichever team wins the Bichette sweepstakes will try and move Bo away from shortstop due to his poor defensive metrics.
According to BaseballReference.com, Bichette is projected to hit .288 in 2026 with 15 home runs and 146 hits. He dealt with a left knee sprain that kept him sidelined all the way up until the World Series, but that is not considered to be an issue heading into next season.
It will be interesting to see how aggressive the Braves remain this offseason, as they still have holes to patch on their roster.
