The Denver Broncos have circled back to a familiar face after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5, with the New York Jets and London on the horizon in Week 6. The Broncos have signed former Green Bay Packers draft pick and wide receiver Samori Toure.
Toure worked out for the Broncos in September, per DNVR Sports’ Zac Stevens, but left without a deal. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo was among the first to report that Toure was signing.
More recently, Toure worked out with the New York Giants before Week 5 but left unsigned.
Broncos Sign Ex-Bears, Packers WR Samori Toure to Practice Squad

The Packers selected Toure with the No. 258 overall pick in the 2022 draft. Toure joins the Broncos after spending the 2024 season and 2025 training camp with the Chicago Bears. He has played in 22 games, catching 13 passes for 160 yards and 1 touchdown in his career.
The 27-year-old playmaker has not played in a regular-season game since the 2023 season. He was with the Packers then, making what the NFL’s social media team called “absurd” plays.
He caught five of seven targets for 72 yards with the Bears this past preseason and had a 2-17-0 line against the Broncos during the 2024 exhibition slate.
Notably, Toure produced an identical 5-72-0 line during the 2023 preseason with the Packers, albeit on nine targets. His best effort was the 2022 preseason, when he logged 125 receiving yards on 9 grabs in 13 targets.
Toure signed a four-year, $3.7 million contract with the Packers as a rookie, but he was on a one-year, $1 million deal with the Bears.
Broncos Make Final Decision on Former Titans, Texans LB Garrett Wallow

Toure’s arrival comes as the Broncos made a final determination on linebacker Garret Wallow, whom the team signed to the 53-man roster after using up his three elevations from the practice squad.
Wallow, a fifth-round pick (No. 170 overall) of the Houston Texans in 2021, has replaced veteran offseason free agent signing Dre Greenlaw, who is on injured reserve with a quad issue.
In three appearances this season, Wallow has logged 3 total tackles.
He has received all of his playing time on special teams. 73 of Wallow’s snaps have come on special teams and none on defense with the Broncos so far. Wallow has also spent time with the Tennessee Titans.
Broncos LB Dre Greenlaw Spotted

At one point against the Eagles, it appeared that Greenlaw’s absence would be a big deal, particularly as Saquon Barkley hauled in a 47-yard pass down the right sideline with Alex Singleton in coverage.
The good news for the Broncos is that Greenlaw traveled with the team to Philadelphia and was spotted before the game, hyping up the team, per DNVR’s Zac Stevens.
Greenlaw signed a three-year, $31.5 million contract with Denver in free agency this past spring.
He has yet to take the field. Moreover, the Broncos have continued to face the same kind of coverage issues at the second level as in 2024. Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor gave them problems in Week 2, but the Broncos had not been challenged in that way since.
Greenlaw is not eligible to come off of injured reserve until Week 7. Then, the Broncos will host former starting QB Russell Wilson, who is now a backup with the Giants.
