Browns Announced Roster Move on Eve of Week 14

The Cleveland Browns have announced a roster move ahead of their Week 14 clash with the Tennessee Titans.

The Browns have elevated defensive end KJ Henry from the practice squad, adding another pass-rusher to their arsenal against the one-win Titans. Henry comes in at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds and is in his third NFL season out of Clemson. Originally a fifth-round pick by Washington in 2023, Henry has appeared in 14 career games with three starts. He’s also spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals (2024) and Dallas Cowboys (2024). Henry has recorded 22 career tackles and 2.5 sacks.

The Browns have already ruled out tight end Brenden Bates (ankle), offensive linemen Jack Conklin (concussion) and Wyatt Teller (calf), defensive tackle Adin Huntington (quad), and quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles).

Several key defenders remain in question, including linebacker Devin Bush (foot) and defensive tackles Mason Graham (ribs) and Mike Hall Jr. (knee). Defensive end Isaiah McGuire (knee) and running back Dylan Sampson (calf) are also listed as questionable, leaving Cleveland with multiple depth concerns on both sides of the ball heading into Week 14.

The Browns will get back defensive end Alex Wright, who has missed the last three games with a quad injury.

Browns Lose Maliek Collins for Season

The Browns will also be without defensive tackle Maliek Collins, who was playing at a Pro Bowl level. Collins had to be carted off the field last week with a season-ending quad injury. He is second on the team with 6.5 sacks, behind only Defensive Player of the Year frontrunner Myles Garrett.

“Maliek was playing great football for us, probably the best football of his career. Was an inside presence for us, was the guy that could win one-on-ones. So, it just really falls to everybody,” Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said. “It just provides opportunity for those guys, and they have to do something with that opportunity.”

Graham — who the Browns drafted No. 5 overall — is questionable for the matchup but said he expects to play on Sunday. Schwartz pointed to the rookie as someone who can help fill the void.

“I was very, very impressed by Mason in that game. Played super, super hard, was all over the field. I think every week we’re saying we’re seeing better from him,” Schwartz said. “It’s only a matter of time before we start seeing that the level of play start equaling the production, stat sheet kind of stuff for Mason.”

Graham has 31 tackles, five tackles for loss and a half-sack this season.

Browns Star Myles Garrett Eyes Record

Garrett heads into Sunday’s matchup with a league-high 19 sacks. He is within striking distance of potentially setting the single-season sack record, which stands at 22.5, which is shared by Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J. Watt (2021).

Garrett gets a matchup against Titans rookie Cam Ward and an offensive line that has given up the most sacks this season.

“I’ll go for four, but I respect that team over there and what they can do,” Garrett said. “So, I got to make sure we stop the run and earn four opportunities, in which I can make that happen.”

Garrett has piled up sacks in bunches this season. He has 14 sacks over the last five games.
