Browns Fans Blast Team Over Latest Controversial Announcement

Since the turn of the century, the Cleveland Browns have been perhaps the most hapless franchise in the four major North American sports leagues. The Browns have been completely unable to generate any sort of sustained winning, and in most seasons, they are among the worst teams in the NFL, if not the worst of them all.

And yet, Browns fans have remained loyal to the team, hoping that they will eventually be able to figure things out. Unfortunately for them, that hasn’t been the case in 2025, as Cleveland has crawled out to a 2-6 record through its first eight games. And in the process, the team has managed to infuriate its fans with a recent survey regarding season tickets for the Browns’ planned new stadium in Brook Park.

Browns Fans Outraged Over Recent Ticket Survey

The Browns currently play their home games at Huntington Bank Field, but plans are in place for a new stadium to be built at Brook Park in the future. As of now, the plan is to break ground in 2026, with the stadium being ready for Cleveland by the 2029 campaign. Of course, when it comes to these massive billion-dollar projects, complications could arise along the way that could result in delays.

Despite that, the team is trucking along with their plans, and part of that involves planning out ticket prices for the new stadium. This week, fans were sent a survey from the Browns regarding the potential implementation of a PSL (Personal Seat License) policy for season-ticket holders. The practice is commonly used across the NFL, so with a new stadium, it isn’t a surprise to see that Cleveland could try to make a change to this process.

However, what quickly caught fans’ attention was the pricing of these PSLs. In some instances, the price of individual PSLs was tens of thousands of dollars, which simply may not be feasible for some of these fans. Unsurprisingly, when these folks caught wind of the potential price plan, they were quite outraged.

“Browns recently sent a survey to season ticket holders regarding a potential PSL program for the Brook Park HBF,” Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan shared in a post on X. “Some screenshots of various price points they are seeking feedback on. No decision on PSLs has been made. Part of new stadium process.”

Nothing has been finalized here, obviously, but the fact that this survey was even sent out indicates that this could be something the team is considering implementing. Given the outrageous prices associated with these PSLs, the team may want to listen to its fanbase when it comes to this situation.

In the present day, the Browns are enjoying their bye week in Week 9, as it offers the team a chance to reset and attack the remainder of the season. When they do return to action in Week 10, they will have a great shot to get back in the win column, as they will face off against the one-win New York Jets. Kickoff for this game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Nov. 9.
