Bryan Mbeumo ruled out of Manchester United friendly vs West Ham

Bryan Mbeumo has been left out of Manchester United’s pre-season friendly against West Ham on Saturday evening.

The 25-year-old completed his move from Brentford to United in a £71 million deal on Monday.

Mbeumo has trained with his new United teammates this week at their pre-season camp in Chicago.

But the forward has been left out of United’s opening game of their pre-season tour against West Ham as he is lacking match fitness.

Ahead of kick-off, United confirmed: ‘Our head coach has decided not to field new boy Bryan Mbeumo in the MetLife Stadium encounter.

Rubem Amorim has opted to start Altay Bayindir in goal and has picked a back three of Leny Yoro, Matthijs De Ligt and Ayden Heaven.

Amad and Patrick Dorgu will operate on the flanks with Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo in central midfield.

Bruno Fernandes and new summer signing Matheus Cunha line up in attack behind Rasmus Hojlund.
