The New York Giants have one of the top rookie running backs in the NFL in Cam Skattebo, but unfortunately, the Skattebo was injured during the Giants’ game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 26, and now, he’s out for the remainder of his first season in the league. The Giants were on their way to a rebound with Skattebo and rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart taking the reigns, but now, it’s a waiting game, and New York just has to hope that Dart can get healthy again and make do with the offensive players by his side.
So, what’s an injured player to do? Of course, earlier this week, Skattebo made the news when he made a surprise appearance on Monday night, November 17, on “Monday Night Raw.” During the appearance, he got in a tiff with Dominik Mysterio, and the segment even had an appearance from Andrew Shultz.
But, that’s not all Skattebo is doing to keep busy while he’s sidelined. This week, the player made another announcement about something that he’s doing with his free time while he rests up from the injury and rehabilitates.
New York Giants Running Back Cam Skattebo is Streaming
Skattebo was fire with the New York Giants. In his eight games with the franchise in his rookie season, he rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns, according to NFL research. But, now that’s on hold as he recovering from an injury.
While he’s waiting, the running back took to social media on Tuesday, November 18, to announce that he and Twitch streamer and content creator Jynxzi are streaming video games together. He took to his Instagram story to tell followers to tune in at 8 p.m. that evening.
Jynxzi posted the video on his official YouTube channel on Wednesday, November 19, and it’s already up to more than a quarter of a million views.
“Cam a natural funny guy, hope he succeeds in the league,” one commenter said on YouTube. “Cam is such a goat, I’m a Steeler fan from Jersey, and that dude and dart have an energy around them. And the more I see of them both the more you gotta love and respect it,” another added.
Cam Skattebo Stands Up to Haters
Some Giants followers didn’t like the Skattebo showed up on WWE this week, but he has a message for the haters. The running back took to social media this week to talk back.
“Aye, honestly if you don’t like that I’m having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on,” the running back said on X. “I’m not able to play football and have the fun I’ve been having my whole life so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy. Enjoy the rest of y’all’s week and just don’t talk about me if you ain’t got nothing nice to say.”
Now, Skattbo will continue to rehab and come back from his injuries, which include a dislocated right ankle, fractured fibula and ruptured deltoid ligament in his ankle. Here’s hoping and praying for a speedy recovery. Meanwhile, the Giants will finally get their NFL bye week in Week 14.
