Cameras Catch Jordan Love, Bo Nix Postgame Handshake After Broncos-Packers

The Green Bay Packers fell to the Denver Broncos in Week 15, 34-26, at Empower Field at Mile High.

The Packers had a 16-14 lead at halftime, and extended it to 23-14 in the third quarter after a Josh Jacobs rushing touchdown.

At the very end of the third quarter, Broncos quarterback Bo Nix connected with Troy Franklin on a touchdown, and the Broncos took a 27-23 lead and did not trail from that point on.

Both Jordan Love and Bo Nix played well in Week 15. Love went 24-of-40 for 276 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, while Nix went 23-of-34 for 302 yards with four touchdowns.

After the game, the two met at midfield and exchanged handshakes, and Love had a message for Nix as well.

Jordan Love Sends Bo Nix Message After Week 15

“Hey, you balled out, brother,” Love said to Nix. “Keep doing your thing, man. Keep leading ’em. Stay healthy, brother. Y’all going to go a long way.”

Nix walked away saying, “You too,” to Love.

It was a back-and-forth battle between two playoff-bound teams, but it was the Broncos who walked away with the win.

Love had nothing but positive words for Nix, saying the Broncos will “go a long way,” and right now, they are on the cusp of a potential No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Going into the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur knew it was going to be a tough game, not just because of Nix, but because of the entire team.

“I also think that just when you combine that with the rest of the guys that he has on his offense, obviously Sean [Payton] does a hell of a job calling plays, he has for a really long time,” LaFleur said, via Wendall Ferreira of AtoZ Sports. “And then the defense and special teams. I mean, it’s a really good football team.”

It was a team effort for Denver, and it marked the 11th straight win for Sean Payton’s team.

Packers Face Tough Road After Broncos Loss, Micah Parsons Injury

The Week 15 loss was overshadowed by the gloomy cloud of Micah Parsons’ torn ACL injury.

Parsons was on pace for a career-high in sacks and had been an electric force for the Green Bay defense. So, to see him go down with a devastating ACL injury is a crushing blow to this team’s Super Bowl hopes.

Yet, for now, they are still alive and well in the playoff hunt.

Despite the loss to the Broncos, the Packers have a 9-4-1 record and are clinging to the No. 7 seed in the NFC Wild Card picture.

They are right behind the 10-4 Chicago Bears for the NFC North division lead, and the Packers face the Bears in a massive game on Saturday night in Week 15.

Of course, losing a player such as Parsons is a massive change for any team to have to deal with, especially this late in the season. But the Packers have plenty of talent all around the roster, and are going to continue to try and make a deep playoff push.
