Tonight, Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will collide for the undisputed super middleweight title in the first Zuffa Boxing event.

Canelo is in the midst of a six fight win streak that’s seen him go undefeated since his 2022 loss to Dmitry Bivol at light heavyweight, while on the flip side Crawford is looking to add to his unblemished record after a unanimous decision win over Israil Madrimov last summer.

Canelo Alvarez Talks Bud Crawford Fight

Considering Terence Crawford is jumping up to multiple weight classes for tonight’s fight, the American star has turned heads with his physique.

The way Canelo Alvarez sees things, however, muscles don’t mean anything inside the ring. During the Grand Arrivals on Sept. 9, he explained:

“Nothing. Muscles for me do not mean anything. I fought before with bigger guys and it means nothing. But when I saw [the picture], you realize he make a good training camp and it made me happy because it’s going to be a good fight.

“I am going to use all of my advantages during the ring, and we will see on Sept. 13.”


Terence Crawford Shuts Down Injury Talk Ahead of Canelo Fight

Ahead of tonight’s fight, there have been rumors that Crawford is dealing with an injury.

During an interview with Fight Hub TV, he shot down rumors of a potential shoulder injury, explaining:

“I got a shoulder injury now? I think people coming up with their own antics, you know? Terence Crawford got a shoulder injury, Terence Crawford not in shape, he’s slow, many they are coming up with all kinds of stuff.”

Despite the fact that Crawford is heading into the fight with an undefeated record, plenty of fans are predicting that Canelo Alvarez will get the win.

As Crawford explained, the doubt is nothing new to him:

“I’ve been told I will never be where I am at. I was told that I need to get another job because I won’t ever be a world champion. So many things that I have been told my entire life and I’m just like, ‘OK, just watch me do it.’ With my self belief, I don’t care what nobody else says because I’m comfortable in my own skin.”
