Manchester City survived a scare after falling behind early at Championship side Swansea City to advance thanks to goals from Jeremy Doku and Omar Marmoush.
Awaiting Pep Guardiola’s side in the quarter-finals are Brentford, who beat thrashed Grimsby Town – the League Two side that knocked out Manchester United in one of the biggest cup upsets in history.
Chelsea beat Premier League basement boys Wolves 4-3 and will expect to see off League One side Cardiff City, the only non-Premier League club left in the draw.
The quarter-final fixtures take place in mid-December, while Wembley hosts the 2026 Carabao Cup final on Sunday 22 March.
