Burnley have agreed a transfer deal with Chelsea to sign Armando Broja, according to reports.
Chelsea have set out their stall in the summer transfer market in a bid to close the gap on their Premier League rivals, with Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro all joining to help bolster Enzo Maresca’s attack.
The Blues are also working on a £60million transfer for RB Leipzig and Netherlands winger Xavi Simons, who is said to be eager to push through a transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Joao Felix and Noni Madueke have both moved in the opposite direction, joining Al-Nassr and Arsenal respectively, and Broja is now expected to follow suit as he looks to secure regular playing time away from west London.
Broja, 23, struggled to make a significant impact across an injury-hit loan spell with Everton last season, failing to find the net in any of his 11 appearances for the Merseyside outfit in all competitions.

But Broja’s disappointing campaign at Goodison Park has not put newly promoted Burnley off a potential deal for the striker and talks have been advancing at a pace in recent days.
According to The Sun, the Clarets have reached an agreement worth up to £20million for the Albania international, who has been on Chelsea’s books since Under-8 level.

Given Broja is a product of Chelsea’s academy, the proposed sale would represent ‘pure profit’ as the west London giants look to balance the books to comply with PSR rules.
Broja would become the second homegrown Chelsea player to leave for Turf Moor this summer, with Bashir Humphreys completing a £12m switch in May following an initial loan move.
The report claims Broja is ‘open’ to the prospect of joining Burnley, but the forward is still yet to agree personal terms with Scott Parker’s side.
Broja would become Burnley’s 11th signing of the summer, with the club investing heavily in recruitment to give themselves the best possible chance of survival on their return to Premier League football.
The forward, who has also enjoyed loan spells with Vitesse, Southampton and Fulham, has three years remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
A cameo appearance in Chelsea’s FA Cup fourth-round tie with Aston Villa back in January 2024 was the last time Broja featured in a competitive match for his boyhood team.
