Chelsea agree £30million deal to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester with midfielder to undergo medical today

CHELSEA have agreed a £30million deal to sign Leicester star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to reports.

The midfielder, 25, is set to complete a medical with the Blues today.

Dewsbury-Hall starred under new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca throughout Leicester’s Championship title-winning campaign last term.

He will now reunite with the Italian at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Athletic, the Blues have agreed a £30m fee to sign Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester.

He has agreed personal terms on a six-year contract, and is set to complete a medical today.

Dewsbury-Hall had been nearing a move to Brighton earlier this week.

The Seagulls had agreed a deal worth around £25m plus Poland international Jakub Moder.

Proceedings had been at an advanced enough stage for Moder to have travelled to Brighton for medical tests.

But the deal collapsed after Dewsbury-Hall learned of Chelsea’s interest.

Leicester have been under pressure to sell in order to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Dewsbury-Hall’s Foxes contract had been due to run until 2027.

The Leicester academy graduate made 129 appearances for his boyhood club.

Last season he scored 12 goals from midfielder, also laying on 14 assists.
