Chelsea and Manchester United are on alert with a transfer target up for sale following their relegation from the Premier League.

Liverpool are on the verge of being crowned Premier League champions after Trent Alexander-Arnold came off the bench to score a later winner at Leicester City on Sunday.

But that result at the King Power also confirmed Leicester’s relegation to the Championship following a dismal campaign, with manager Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future up in the air.

Moreover, the Telegraph report that offers will be considered for almost every single Foxes player this summer, with the club under pressure to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules.

And that will intrigue Chelsea and United as it is said that they are interested in signing Mads Hermansen as they look to fix their goalkeeper issues.

Blues keeper Robert Sanchez has come under plenty of criticism this season, while deputy Filip Jorgensen has also failed to impress when given the chance.

It’s a similar situation at Old Trafford, where Ruben Amorim is expected to replace Andre Onana who was recently dropped from the Red Devils squad following two howlers in the Europa League.

Hermansen has admirers and is attracting interest despite enduring an extremely difficult first season in the Premier League, conceding 55 goals in 26 games and keeping just one clean sheet.

The Dane cannot shoulder all the blame for Leicester’s defensive record, having made the fourth most saves in the top-flight this campaign, though he does also have the fourth-worst save percentage of full-time keepers at 65.3 per cent.

For context, Onana’s save percentage is only slightly better at 69.5, while Sanchez’s is 76.1 – surprisingly, the second-best in the Premier League behind only Arsenal’s David Raya.

Clean sheets: 1

Goals conceded: 55

Saves: 97

Penalties saved: 1 out of 4

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca knows Hermansen well having bought him for Leicester from Brondby for just £6.6million in 2023.

His first season at the King Power was a great success, conceding just 41 goals and keeping 13 clean sheets in 44 appearances as the Foxes rocketed to the Championship title.

It is not known how much Leicester would want for the 24-year-old, whose contract expires in 2028.

Additionally, it is reported that Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in signing Jeremy Monga from the Foxes who became the second-youngest Premier League player in history last month aged just 15 years and 271 days.
