Chelsea and one other Premier League club have been tipped to make transfer moves for England captain Harry Kane this summer.
Kane established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in Premier League history during his 14-year spell at Tottenham and has continued to impress since joining Bayern Munich in 2023.
The 31-year-old netted 44 goals in all competitions last season and will not fall too short of that figure this term, currently sitting on 36 goals.
Despite his impact in Munich, Kane was linked with a return to England earlier this year as a release clause in his Bayern contract emerged.
It was widely reported that the buy-out clause, worth around £56m, would come into effect in January 2026.

Kane could be open to a Premier League return at some stage as he looks to surpass Alan Shearer as the division’s all-time record goalscorer.
Manchester City were heavily linked with a move for Kane before they signed Erling Haaland, while Manchester United have been repeatedly linked with the Three Lions captain.

Old Trafford hero Teddy Sheringham has previously urged his former club to sign Kane but he believes Chelsea could be the Premier League team trying to secure a deal this summer.
Chelsea are expected to bring a new goalscorer to Stamford Bridge following a difficult second-half to the season and have expressed interest in Victor Osimhen, Liam Delap and Benjamin Sesko.
Sheringham has tipped Chelsea to launch a summer move for Kane but says fellow Champions League hopefuls Aston Villa could also look to agree a deal with Bayern Munich.
‘There’ll still be a lot of clubs that will be looking at Harry Kane in the Premier League,’ Sheringham told Casino Hawks.

‘He’s the finished article and you’re still going to get two, maybe three years out of Harry Kane at the top level, the way I see it.
‘I think Chelsea could go for him, Nicolas Jackson has done alright but Kane is the very highest level.
‘You’re also looking at a team like Aston Villa, they might want to go a step further.
‘He is a top player and the finished article, he can give you two or three years so teams will go for him. He is a commodity that people want.’
Man Utd the ‘obvious destination’ for Kane
If Kane does decide to return to the Premier League, Manchester United are his ‘obvious destination’, according to Andy Townsend.
‘The one obvious destination for Harry Kane in the Premier League is Manchester United because they’re crying out for something significant in that position,’ the ex-Ireland midfielder told Boylesports.
‘However, whether or not Harry is prepared to join a team like Manchester United that are some distance away from being anything like what they were, I would doubt.
‘I think the lure of coming back to the UK obviously for Harry is always going to be a debating point. It’s going to be one that he and his family will want to discuss and carefully consider.

‘But he’s at the biggest club in Germany and they look like they’re going to win the league this year. They’re still involved in the Champions League and so they are still a very formidable club to play for.
‘I’m not sure whether this summer leaving and coming back to Manchester United works for Harry Kane. I don’t quite get that. I think he’s been phenomenal since he’s been there.
‘His England career from this point onwards will gradually start to diminish. He’s still very much part of what Thomas Tuchel wants to do, but time catches up and others will no doubt be looking to step into his shoes.
‘I don’t see Manchester City with Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush. Could Liverpool go and get him? Maybe they could.
Harry Kane Premier League stats
Appearances: 320
Goals: 213
Assists: 46
Goals per match: 0.67
Headed goals: 40
Goals with right foot: 130
Goals with left foot: 41

‘But would they spend £60million on someone of Harry’s age and stage of his career now? They wouldn’t want to.
‘So I think the only obvious destination for him is Manchester United really. United should have bought him when he was coming out of Tottenham last time.’
Kane responded to speculation linking him with a dramatic return to the Premier League earlier this month.
The prolific striker is arguably Tottenham’s greatest ever player, having scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for the north London club.
Kane responds to transfer speculation
Kane, whose Bayern Munich side were knocked out of the Champions League by Inter Milan, is also England’s all-time record goalscorer with 71 goals in 105 caps.
Asked whether there was any part of him that would like to return to English football in the future, Kane told ESPN: ‘I’m not sure.
‘I’ve said throughout my whole career that I’m not someone who likes to think too far ahead.
‘I’m extremely happy here, we have a fantastic team, fantastic coaching staff.
‘And I just feel like whilst I feel like I’m in the best condition, I want to play at the highest level possible and this is as high as it gets.
‘I know a lot can change in football in a short space of time and things can happen, but ultimately my focus is here.
‘I’m not thinking about any other league or any other team and, with football, I like to just go with the flow and at the moment, the flow is here at Bayern Munich.’
Bayern boosted their Bundesliga title hopes with a 4-0 victory over Heidenheim on Saturday. Vincent Kompany’s side are nine points clear at the top of the table with four games remaining.
