Chelsea have now joined the race to sign the striker according to transfer expert Christian Faulk.

Hoffenheim want to keep hold of Beier, 21, who has a £30million release clause.

However it is believed a transfer is not likely to happen soon as Blues focus on signing other targets.

Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Aston Villa prodigy Omari Kellyman in a £20million deal.

They also have their sights set on his team-mate Jhon Duran, with Ian Maatsen expected to go the other way.

Chelsea have held talks with another striker’s representatives – Lille star Jonathan David.

The Canadian was keen to join an English club 12 months ago and could finally get his move.

However one player Chelsea are set to miss out on is Crystal Palace star Michael Olise.
