Maignan has just one year remaining on his contract with Milan and the 30-year-old could be available on a free transfer next summer if he fails to agree a new deal.
Donnarumma, meanwhile, is in the same situation at PSG as the Italy international also has just a year left on his contract.

According to L’Equipe, PSG and Donnarumma have been in talks over a new deal for months but the Champions League holders consider the goalkeeper’s salary package a ‘problem’ as it is worth €850,000 (£734,000) per month before bonuses.

It’s claimed that PSG have explored the possibility of replacing Donnarumma, with Lille’s 23-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier the favoured option of the French club’s sporting director Luis Campos.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are said to be among the clubs who are monitoring Donnarumma’s contract situation and could consider a move for the Italy international after the Club World Cup final on Sunday.
Speaking earlier this year, Donnarumma made it clear that he wanted to extend his stay with PSG.
‘There are so many rumours. The truth is that I feel good here and that everyone likes me and holds me in esteem,’ the 26-year-old told Sky Italia.
‘I am feeling very good, settled and my priority is to extend [my contract] here.’
