Cincinnati Bengals All Pro Praised by Parsons in Unique Way

The Cincinnati Bengals travel to face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET and quarterback Joe Flacco has a chance to make history. If the Bengals are able to win today, Flacco will become the first quarterback in NFL history to beat the same team twice while playing for two different teams.

Of course, Jack Kemp beat the New York Titans twice back in 1962 with the San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills, but that was in the AFL. More on that situation later, but right now you want to know if Ja’Marr Chase is playing:

Cincinnati Bengals:

CB Marco Wilson
G Dylan Fairchild
WR Jermaine Burton
TE Cam Grandy
DT Jordan Jefferson
DE Shemar Stewart

Green Bay Packers:

K Brandon McManus
CB Kamal Hadden
OL Anthony Belton
DL Devonte Wyatt

Packers’ Micah Parsons has big respect for Cincinnati Bengals’ WR

In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Bengals took wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase at No. 5 overall. The Dallas Cowboys selected linebacker Micah Parsons at No. 12, and now the two are scheduled to meet this week.

Parsons went on and praised Chase in a totally Micah Parsons way.

“Ja’Marr Chase is like the jaguar. He’s one of them special ones that you just don’t f*** with,” Parsons said this week. “He’s one of the ones – or like the hippo. If the hippo’s in the water, you don’t f*** with the hippo.

“He’s a special breed of his own. He’s one of those. He’s a special breed. He’s going to do what he do. It’s just like we got to slow him down. We got to stop him. But I know who he is and I expect him to make plays doing what he do. That’s the standard I have for those type of guys.”

Flacco can make NFL history with the Cincinnati Bengals

“Outside of a division game, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the same quarterback on a different team, so it will be interesting,” LaFleur said Wednesday.

“I certainly was a little surprised,” LaFleur added.

Flacco is going to start for Cincinnati today after just getting traded from the Cleveland Browns this week. But, Flacco is 40-years old and was drafted all the way back in 2008, so if anyone can do it, he can.

“I’d say that Joe Flacco has been playing this game for a really long time and he’s been in a lot of different systems, so I’d bet that he’d have no problem picking it up in a short period of time,” LaFleur said. “I think the hardest thing for them is going to be the nuances of your cadence, your snap count, the rapport you have with the other players. Now, he’s pretty fortunate, he has some good guys to certainly throw to.”

Chase, for what it’s worth, is very appreciative that the Bengals brought in a new quarterback to help the offense.

“I appreciate the organization trying to make this work. So, we’ve got to make it work,” Chase said this week. “They just see that we’ve got a chance. Defense is doing a good enough job to help us out. Ultimately, we’ve got to have plays in space. That’s what they’ve seen. That’s what they wanted to keep going. They’ve just given us an opportunity to make more of those plays happen.
