Colts’ 14th Overall Pick Predicted To Win OROY

The Indianapolis Colts have had one of the better offenses in the league after four weeks of the 2025 NFL season.

The $14 million signing of Daniel Jones is looking like one of the better quarterback decisions in the league. Running back Jonathan Taylor is off to another strong start with over 400 rushing yards.

Colts‘ first selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, Tyler Warren, is looking as advertised as he leads the team in receiving yards. Warren not only leads the Colts‘ receiving corps, but he also currently leads all tight ends with 263 receiving yards.

With how well the former Penn State Nittany Lion has been performing, one analyst believes Warren is a contender to win an award this season.

Tyler Warren currently has a 69.8 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, the sixth highest out of 33 qualifying tight ends.

ESPN’s Ben Barnwell has released his early predictions for the end-of-the-season award winners, naming the Colts‘ rookie tight end as the number one option for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

“Warren has been even more intriguing as a chess piece for coach Shane Steichen. The Colts have used Warren as a fullback, serving both as a lead blocker and ball carrier on a pair of short-yardage plays,” Barnwell wrote. “Those concepts haven’t always been successful, but how many teams have a player they are comfortable running on power and throwing to as the shallow crosser on mesh on fourth down in the same game?”

Warren is a special talent, and he has been an essential part of the Colts‘ offense as the team has gotten off to a 3-1 start.

The 14th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft recorded his first touchdown in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams, but on a rushing call instead of a passing play.

“When you’ve got a guy with that type of skillset,” head coach Shane Steichen said of Warren’s versatility after Week, via the Colts website. “You want to be able to use that skillset.”

Tyler Warren wasn’t the only Indianapolis Colts player predicted to win an award from Ben Barnwell.

The ESPN analyst also noted three other awards that a member of the Colts organization could win, while Warren would be the frontrunner for one of Barnwell’s predictions.

Barnwell predicts quarterback Daniel Jones could win the Most Valuable Player award at the runner-up spot. Jonathan Taylor is the third option to win the Offensive Player of the Year award. And, head coach Shane Steichen is the runner-up for the Coach of the Year Award.

The Indianapolis Colts were entering the 2025 season with a lot of eyes on the team after signing Daniel Jones. And after four weeks, the team has one of the better records in the league.

If the Colts continue being hot, multiple players and their coach can win awards.
