Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones was listed on the team’s injury report with a leg injury entering Week 12 before facing the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Colts QB was listed as a limited participant early on the week, before being listed as a full participant in the final practice before the game, giving a clear sign that he was progressing with his injury.

But Jones didn’t look too comfortable in the matchup against the Chiefs. He didn’t play bad, but didn’t fare well either, throwing for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 complete passes on 31 attempts.

With recent updates, it has now been revealed what injury the quarterback has been dealing with the last couple of weeks.

After the Week 12 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, Colts head coach Shane Steichen revealed in a vague manner of what injury Daniel Jones was dealing with, mentioning that his quarterback was dealing with a “fibula” injury.

The Colts released its first injury report for Week 13 which reveals that Jones is back it as a limited participant on the first practice of the week. The quarterback is heading into the tight direction as he became full participated in the most recent practices for the organization.

It was recently revealed by an NFL insider what specific injury the Colts start was dealing with, and may cause a concern for the team in the remainder of the season.

NFL Networks’ Ian Rapoport revealed that Jones was dealing a fractured fibula. It was not revealed what specific fracture he obtained.

Throwing 31 times in a game shows that the Colts coaching and medical staff don’t have much worry his leg, and will likely keep his workload the same in the following weeks.

The thing that would be most impact Daniel Jones is his running game and evading pressure.

The quarterback has four rushing touchdowns this season, which is tied for the fourth most in the league. Jones also has rushed for 159 yards this season.

If anything, offensive playcaller Shane Steichen will have to dial it down a bit on the amount of rushing his quarterback will see in the future until Jones is 100% to run and take a hard hit.

Head coach Shane Steichen has affirmed that Daniel Jones is good to go heading into the Week 13 matchup against the Houston Texans.

“It was just something that was kind of hanging over and realized it last week,” Jones said of his injury. “Just been trying to get treatment and make sure I’m in the best spot I can be… It’s been really good working with the trainers here and making sure we’re ready to go. We got a good plan.”
