After announcing his plans to return for the UFC’s 2026 card at the White House, Conor McGregor appears to be back in the testing pool.
This week, the former champ champ showed off a series of photos showing a testing agent collecting samples on his yacht.
Currently, McGregor’s test isn’t logged on the UFC’s anti-doping site (UFCAntiDoping.com). However, given that the database was last updated on July 25, McGregor’s test will likely appear as part of the next update.
On Tuesday afternoon, McGregor uploaded a series of photos to his Instagram story, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the testing process.

Dana White Teases Meeting with Conor McGregor Amid Return Talk
Last week, before Conor McGregor showed off photos of himself being tested on his yacht, the former champ champ sent Dana White a box of cigars.
White, in turn, shared a video of the box with fans on social media, revealing that he and McGregor are set to meet in Italy sometime soon.
The post ignited talk throughout the MMA community as some fans took the news of a meeting to mean that White and McGregor were discussing the Irish star’s return. Others, however, continued to remain skeptical in regards to a potential return.
Could Conor McGregor Return for the UFC White House Card?
Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that the UFC will be hosting a fight card at the White House next summer, Conor McGregor quickly announced his intentions to fight on the card, showing off a DM exchange he had with Dana White regarding the idea.
As Dana White informed the Nelk Boys just days later during an appearance on the Full Send Podcast, the card could play host to a fight between McGregor and Chandler, as well as a fight between Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones.
While White has since walked back his comments about an Aspinall-Jones fight on the card, talk of a fight between McGregor and Chandler has continued to gain momentum despite skepticism from fans.
During an interview with TMZ Sports on Jul. 21, Michael Chandler spoke about the potential bout, saying:
“It’s definitely the fight that I want, everybody knows that’s the fight that I want. I have said publicly that’s the fight that i want, but I’m also the guy who’s not going to wait for that fight. … but Conor’s the guy that I want to fight. At this point it feels like we have to finish The Ultimate Fighter 31, however, if it never happens, it never happens.”
If McGregor is in fact back in the testing pool, perhaps we’ll see the two throw down next summer.
