Raygun, whose real name is Rachael Gunn, was mocked online across the world for her strange moves.
The 37-year-old lost her three round-robin battles by a total score of 54-0.
Then after her disaster dance, the university lecturer was promoted to world No1 because the rankings were based on each athlete’s top four performances across the year, with the Olympics not counting.
Reflecting on her rise to fame, Raygun spoke to Aussie magazine Stellar.
She makes the front cover of this week’s addition and looks completely different all glammed up.
Gone is her green and gold Olympics tracksuit, replacing it with a stunning blue dress.
Raygun says that despite international ridicule: “You did not bring me down. You did not succeed. I will stand by what I did.”
Three months have passed since her kangaroo impression on the dancelfoor, but she is far from forgotten about in Australia.
